Our Best Answer
How can I add an online class once the semester has started?

You can add full-term courses via WebAdvisor during the first two weeks of the semester. For short-term courses check the schedule of classes for deadlines.

NOTE: Your fees are due when you register.

To add a class after the semester has started, complete the following steps:

To Add a Class if You Are Not on the Course's Waitlist
Attend the first class meeting and collect an add code from the instructor. Late adds are at the discretion of the instructor and are granted on a space-available basis. The code lists the term, course name, instructor name, course section number and an official authorization code. Please note: Instructors are not able to issue Add Codes until the first day that their own class meets!

FOR ONLINE CLASSES ONLY Please contact the instructor directly to get an Add Code. Preview the class schedule for prerequisites, required meetings, etc. before you request to add late.

Log into WebAdvisor.
From the Students tab in WebAdvisor, select Register for Sections under the Registration tab, choose how you would like to register and select the term from the drop-down menu and click Submit.

Take an action from the drop down menu, enter the course information along with the add code. Review the information you have entered and click the Submit Changes button.

To Add a Class If You Are On the Course's Waitlist

  1. Log in to WebAdvisor. Under the Registration tab select Manage My Waitlist, make sure you have permission to add the course. Use the drop down menu to the left under the action tab, and select register. Enter the add code and click Submit.
